Fund manager Kunal Desai has left Mobius Capital Partners, having joined two years ago with the remit of launching a new product for the boutique venture.
A spokesperson for Mobius Capital Partners confirmed that Desai, who joined from Neptune Investment Management in June 2018, had left the group but did not state a specific date.
Desai had spent eight years with Neptune prior to joining Mobius. During that period he had primarily been focused on Indian equities.
In joining Mobius, it was announced that Desai was brought on board to help develop Mobius Capital Partners’ flagship fund, Mobius Emerging Markets fund, which came to market in September 2018.
It was not revealed where Desai had planned to go following his departure. He was approached for comment on LinkedIn but had not responded at the time of publication.
The departure of Desai comes amid another senior fund manager announcing plans to leave the boutique, as Greg Konieczny announce plans to retire. Mobius Capital Partners said it was adding to its talent, especially within its analysis of Asian markets.
